Fabric

Similar to our other upholstery services, our headboards can be made using any fabrics of your choice. We have a wealth of designer fabrics for you to choose from, including elegant patterns, colourful prints and gorgeous plain options. If we don’t have the fabric you are looking for, let us know and we are sure we can get it in for you. On the other hand, if you have your own fabric that you’d like us to use, perhaps to match current furniture or curtains, let us know and we’d be more than happy to use your fabric for your project. Similar to other upholstered items, the type of material used is also an important factor. Stronger fabrics such as leather and cotton will last longer against wear and tear whereas more delicate fabrics will wear away easily.

Shape

Finishing Options

Our custom-made headboards can feature finishing touches, including piping to add some extra detail around the edges. The piping can match your fabric choice, making it a subtle addition your headboard, or it can be in a completely different colour, adding contrast and creating a statement piece for your room.

Your headboard can also be tufted and feature deep-button detailing, creating an elegant and stunning finish. The buttons that we use can be covered in the same fabric as the main board so that they match. They can also be covered in a contrasting fabric to add a striking finishing touch to your piece.

Another great option is to add studwork to your furniture. This involves nailing metal studs around the edges of the piece in a straight, evenly spaced line. This adds an element of elegance and an extra handcrafted touch that makes your furniture even more unique to you.

A fantastic addition to our custom-made headboards, we can also create made to measure scatter cushions. These can made using either matching fabric or a different material that is complementary to your new bedroom furniture.
